The 60th-minute goal also sealed Mohun Bagan’s easy entry into the quarter-finals as East Bengal can propel them into the last eight if they win their last group league game against Punjab FC on Wednesday.
Mohun Bagan finished Group A with six points from three matches, while East Bengal have four points from two matches.
