Eligibility Criteria:

• Land Ownership: Own cultivable landholding of up to 2 hectares.
• Family Definition: The scheme defines a family as a husband, wife, and minor children.
• Exclusions: Certain categories are excluded. These include institutional landholders and individuals who have held constitutional posts. This also includes serving or retired officers and employees of central/state government ministries. Additionally, professionals like doctors, engineers, and lawyers are excluded. These professionals are registered with professional bodies and carry out their profession by undertaking practices.

Mandatory e-KYC:

Completing the electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) process is essential for all registered farmers. This can be done through the official PM-KISAN portal or at designated Common Service Centers (CSCs).

How to Check Beneficiary Status:

1. Visit the official PM-KISAN website: pmkisan.gov.in.
2. Navigate to the “Farmers Corner” section and select “Beneficiary Status.”
3. Enter your Aadhaar number or bank account number.
4. Click “Get Data” to view your payment status.

Registration Process:

Farmers who have not yet registered can do so by:

1. Visiting the official PM-KISAN portal.
2. Clicking on “New Farmer Registration.”
3. Providing the required personal, bank, and landholding details.
4. Completing the e-KYC process as prompted.
