Indian women’s last group match is underway against Thailand and the scoreline is 0-0 after 11 minutes. India had lost the previous match 2-1 to Chinese Taipei and will have to beat Thailand to reach the next round.

Khatri will now take on Uzbek fencer Shakhzoda Agambardiva at 1:30 PM IST today.

Volleyball

The Indian men’s team is in trouble in the quarter-finals, trailing 0-2 against world number five Japan. India is ranked 73rd in the world and defeated higher-ranked teams like South Korea and Chinese Taipei to reach the quarters.

Table Tennis

India defeated Kazakhstan 3-2 to enter the quarter-finals of the men’s team event.

With the match tied at 2-2, Sharath Kamal won the last match to take India into the last eight. He went down 0-2 but came back to defeat Kenzhigulov 5-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-9.

Now India will face South Korea today at 4 pm IST.

Boxing

Preeti Pawar reached the quarter-finals of the women’s 54kg category by defeating Jordan’s S Alhasnat via RSC (Referee Stopping Contest). The Indian player will face Kazakhstan’s Jade Shcherbekova in the quarter-finals.
