On January 22, 2025, a tragic incident occurred near Jalgaon in Maharashtra. It resulted in the deaths of at least 11 passengers. Five others were injured. The accident took place between Maheji and Pardhade stations near Pachora, approximately 400 km from Mumbai.

Tragically, they were struck by the oncoming Karnataka Express, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.
