The Nobel Prize 2023 winners have not been announced yet. The prize announcements will take place from October 2 to October 9, 2023. You can watch the live streams of the announcements on the official website of the Nobel Prize. Last year, the Nobel Prize winners were as follows:
- Physiology or Medicine: Svante Paabo for his work on understanding how modern-day people evolved from extinct ancestors.
- Physics: Alain Aspect, John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger for their experiments in quantum mechanics.
- Chemistry: Carolyn Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and Barry Sharpless for discovering reactions which let molecules snap together to create new compounds and offer insight into cell biology.
- Literature: Annie Ernaux for “the courage and clinical acuity” of her autobiographical novels.
- Peace: Ales Byalyatski, Russian rights group Memorial and Ukraine’s Center for Civil Liberties for their human rights work during the Ukraine War.
- Economics: Ben Bernanke, Douglas Diamond and Philip Dybvig for their contributions to the understanding of financial crises and monetary policy.
